I am a self-taught artist, who creates in two very distinct and unique styles- Abstract and Neo-Expressionism. 

Born in Chicago, I had a certain perspective and privilege of viewing the arts at a young age. From street graffiti (yes it is art, unless it's on your garage) to the latest modern works (which could be a garage).

I was in my teens when ''The Big Move'' happened. My parents moved my three older sisters and me to the suburbs of Illinois, as city life became increasingly dangerous. I began painting as an outlet. 

The idea of an alter ego or split persona, always appealed to me.  I began expressing suburbia in the form of abstract and the city that I love became neo-expressionism. 

My main influences our Jean Michel Basquiat, Ed Paschke and Pablo Picasso. My painting process is always done with music, somtimes it takes over, and becomes my direction. Mixing colors is done during my experience, as painting in abstract has always been about freedom. Working further into the piece, the painting tells me when to stop...It has life, a name and hopefully, a new home.
